Access to United Church and Thrift Store During Canyon Road Construction Project – Los Alamos Reporter

UNITED CHURCH PRESS RELEASE

Now, until the fall, a major street reconstruction is taking place on Canyon Road starting at 39^e Street to Central Avenue/Rose Street. The Los Alamos United Church, located at 2525 Canyon Road is just east of the road construction, and getting to the church by car can sometimes be difficult, especially if you are coming from the western and northern parts from the city.

During the construction period, the least impeded access to the United Church will be from 15^e Street, connecting either Canyon Road to the 3-way stop, turning left (west) there; or west to Nectar and 15^e Street to Bathtub Row and stop sign; turn right on Rose Street for one block to the church facility consisting of four buildings and all accessible church parking lots.

The Historic Landmark Church, a former WWII army chapel, is also one block from Bathtub Row and the historic district. In addition to Sunday services at 9:30 a.m., the United Church Chapel is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please hide.
