The Foundation seeks to pray for Governor Emmanuel and inaugurates the new auditorium of the church

The Ini Ememobong Foundation (IEF) has called on the natives of Akwa Ibom State to intensify prayers for Governor Udom Emmanuel, especially as his administration begins the countdown to May 29, 2023.

The foundation’s president and information and strategy commissioner, Comr. Ini Ememobong, made the call, on Saturday, during the dedication and handover service of a new worship hall built by the foundation, for the Church of Christ, Awa-Iman at Onna LGA in the state.

In his remarks, the ancestor of the foundation said that the construction project was undertaken to provide a suitable place, where Christians would not only gather to worship God, but also an altar where supplications and thanksgivings would be offered to God in the name of the Governor, even long after his administration.

While thanking God for his benevolence over the life of the governor, and many other Christian devotees, who made sacrifices supporting Governor Emmanuel in their prayers, Ememobong said as a “son,” who benefited from the provision fatherhood of the Governor, there was no better footprint to honor his “father” than the construction of the Temple of the Lord, more importantly, to mark Governor Emmanuel’s birthday in 2022.

Also speaking, the foundation’s chancellor, Ulap Bassey Esan, unveiled the features and amenities of the new building, which he said included a minister’s office, a sacristy and a brand new 5 kva generator.

He described the new hall as a great place for worshippers, adding that the charitable foundation will continue to identify and execute humanitarian projects to benefit society.

Likewise, the architect and designer of the project, Arc. Iniobong Abidiak, said the project has been designed to meet contemporary construction and interior design standards.

According to him, although the six-week implementation period was short and difficult, he was grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the church.

Meanwhile, the minister in charge of the congregation, Fr. Ayan Umana, expressed his gratitude to Comr. Ememobong for his many supports towards the church and society, especially the needy.

The highlight of the event was a prayer session for the guidance and protection of the governor, as well as the presentation of awards by the leadership of the Church of Christ at Comr. Ini Ememobong, in recognition of her commitment and contributions to the growth of the Church and society.
